What is the Expat plan?

The Expat is a primary major medical group plan that provides comprehensive coverage worldwide, including inside the U.S.

Who is eligible to enroll?

Expat is designed for employees and their families on international assignment. Plans are purchased in the U.S. but may also cover expatriates who are third country nationals.


What does the Expat plan cover?

The benefits are rich; the plan covers everything from medical evacuation and hospitalization to maternity care and well visits. In addition, there are

No pre-certification requirements
No deductibles applied for office visits and preventative care
No limit on time spent in or out of US


What is the minimum number of expatriates that can be covered under this plan?

Group policies are written for as few as two expatriates.


Is there a deductible?

Deductibles can be customized to fit the group's needs.


What is the process for enrolling new members mid-term?

Expat is supported by online administrative tools. The group administrator can enroll new members, terminate members or make changes to existing member profiles directly online at any time.


What is the premium invoicing process?

The premium is invoiced monthly. Invoices for the next month’s premium are made available on the website and are sent out to the client via regular mail on or around the 20th of each month. Premium is due 30 days from receipt of the invoice, payment can be paid via check or wire transfer.


Is prescription coverage available with this plan?

Yes, the policy includes retail and mail order prescription drug coverage whether members are inside and outside the U.S. If a prescription drug is unavailable in a country outside the U.S. the plan makes arrangements to ship the medication directly to the member.


Can benefit plans be customized?

Yes. we can tailor benefits to a customer's specifications.
